On their way, they were ambushed by Lost Legion, an army of former Marine Dahl led by Colonel Tungsteena Zarpedon, and landed at the lunar base. He joins fellow Vault Hunters Claptrap, Nisha, Wilhelm, Timothy, and Aurelia on a spaceship to Helios moon base Helios. Athena tells her story, starting after the death of General Knoxx, when she receives an offer to go find Vault on the moon of Pandora, Elpis, from a Hyperion programmer named Jack. The Pre-Sequel opening begins sometime after the Borderlands 2 event, and immediately after Episode 3 of the next game Tales from the Borderlands, in the flying city of Sanctuary, where three former Vault Hunters Lilith, Brick, and Mordecai interrogate the former Athenian mercenary after capturing him.
